Moving To Frankfort, NY-1952

My father didn't want to stay in Mohawk I guess and so we were on the move again. This time to Frankfort, NY. Not sure why he would want to live there but we did for a very short time in 1952. I was in First grade by then. The school was right down the street, so I didn't have far to walk. We lived in a two family side by side house on Orchard Street. I do remember playing with the neighborhood kids back then. One family's last name was Fresco. I think they lived around the corner in an upstairs apartment. I can't recall who lived next door though..Ha!
It was when we lived in Frankfort that I got invited to a March Of Dimes Dinner and Benefit at The Prospect Inn in Herkimer. I was the first one in Herkimer County to get Polio that year and I guess that is why they invited me. I was the only child there. A man came and picked me up and brought me home. My mother didn't go. Must be she had to stay home with the younger children. Not sure why. Never thought to ask her. I am adding a bunch of photos from that dinner.
